Tucked into the rolling Tuscan hills close to the borders with Umbria and Tuscany, Palazzo Bandino could not be better placed.

In a countryside location of typical Tuscan beauty yet only 2km from the town of Chianciano Terme for those not wanting to stray even this far for a meal there is a restaurant at Palazzo Bandino offering typical local cuisine.

The property is ideal for a families or larger groups of guests wanting to book several apartments.

In total there are nine spacious one and two bedroom apartments. All are nicely and simply furnished, and have a living/dining room with kitchen corner and double sofa bed and one or two double bedrooms.

The nearby town of Chianciano Terme has been a famed spa resort since Roman times, whose healing mineral waters today attract people from across Italy and Europe.

The old medieval part of the town is situated on a hill at 550m above sea level and commands great views of the surrounding countryside. Elegant Renaissance architecture combines with the medieval walls, marble fountains and the ancient Manenti Castle, as well as an array of fine churches from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries.

From April to October the town hosts an impressive array of cultural events, from the "Ballando Ballando" dance competition in July to various art and photographic exhibitions, an equestrian show and outdoor theatre.

There is also much to see and do in the local area. The towns of Chiusi and Montepulciano are well worth a visit, the latter especially for its famed wines, among them Vino Nobile and Brunello.
